SPRING TERM SESSIONS NOW UNDER WAY

Check here for events, information & Sunday session booking

TUESDAYS

These sessions now take place at Raw Umber Studios in Nelson Street (see below).

Tutored drop-in sessions

Booking is not required for these regular weekly sessions. Paper, charcoal and pencils are provided, meaning that you can literally just turn up and draw!
On Tuesday evenings I am always available to offer friendly and individual help with what is an inherently difficult task. Whether you are a complete novice, unsure of how to get started, or a more experienced artist who would like a fresh pair of eyes to scan your work, I will be happy to assist. With 26 years of art teaching experience there are few problems which I can’t help you sort out, so please let me know if you need some guidance. Over the years, Stroud Life Drawing sessions have proved to be a safe and non-judgemental place to draw the figure, so why not come along and give it a go!

Untutored drop-in sessions

The Saturday sessions are also run on a drop-in basis, with no need to book. Paper, charcoal and pencils are provided.
These sessions are untutored, giving you the freedom to work in the medium and style of your choice. That said, I am happy to offer guidance and advice during the breaks. The emphasis is on longer pose work so there are typically just one or two poses in the afternoon. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided during the break at no extra cost.
